Biography

Bill Deevy is a highly accomplished valuation professional with over 23 years of experience in property appraisal and assessment. He holds a Master of Business Administration in Global Leadership from the University of Fredericton and a Master of Business Administration in General Management from Plymouth State University, where he received the university’s highest graduate academic award and was inducted into the Delta Mu Delta International Honor Society for Academic Excellence. He also earned a Master of Arts in Business Management from American Public University, a Bachelor of Science in General Business from The University of the State of New York (Regents College), and a Bachelor of Arts in Finance from Edinburgh Napier University. In addition, he holds a Post-Graduate Certificate in Real Property Valuation and a Certificate in Real Property Assessment from The University of British Columbia, as well as a Diploma in Property Appraisal and Assessment from St. Lawrence College. His professional designations include AACI, P.App (Appraisal Institute of Canada), MIMA (Institute of Municipal Assessors), and SMA and FMA (BOMI).

Mr. Deevy’s professional experience includes senior valuation roles with UCS Pigeon-Roy and the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). His expertise encompasses reserve fund studies, insurance appraisals, residential and commercial appraisals, property revaluations arising from Requests for Reconsideration, representation before the Assessment Review Board, preparation and presentation of valuation evidence, and the completion of industry-standard sales ratio studies. He has also been responsible for reviewing and finalizing property values for the release of new valuation base years
